John started the first heat race on the back.  He took the lead on lap three.  Just as it looked like he had the win in hand, a lapped car spun in front of him right before he took the checkered flag.  He was able to get the car going again and finished 2nd.  In the feature John started second row inside.  Johnny Bone Jr. started on the pole and took the lead.  Gary Langworthy Jr. started outside front row, he dropped in to second.  John fell in to third and they followed each other just like that and finished the race in that order. 
Also, wanting to get some more information and track time with the IMCA car, John called long time friend, Troy Gemmill of Ponca City to drive the Big Dog.  Troy finished 4th in his heat and 7th in the feature.  John got some good feedback on the car from Troy and we all had a good time visiting.



CANEY, Kan. - Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., collected the USRA RHS Modified Challenge $250 bonus Saturday night with a victory on opening night at the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.

Bone pocketed $1,000 from Quality Electric Motors for his win at Caney, $500 for his win at the Humboldt Speedway on Friday and the additional $250 back-to-back bonus to bring his weekend take-home paycheck to $1,750.

The USRA RHS Modified Challenge continues next week at the two Southern Kansas speedplants.
