Kenton started the 2nd heat race in 5th.  He was able to finish 3rd.  That put him 8th in passing points on the night.  He started the A feature on the outside of row 4.  The race was slow to start, having 2 cautions before the first lap was completed.  As the race finally got going, it was a good one.  All the top drivers were racing 3-wide and having a great time.  Kenton was running 6th or 7th most of the race.  Hoping for a top ten, Kenton was running 6th with on 4 laps to go.  Unfortunately, the yellow flag flew.  Kenton was tight on the bottom of the track, but was really making gains from about the middle to the top.  On the restart he was forced to start on the bottom. He got passed by a couple of cars on the start before he could make his way to the top of the track.  There were not enough laps left for him to chase them down and he ended up 8th, right where he started the race.  Kenton proved to himself he can race with the best.  He is planning to be at Lebanon, MO next weekend for their big show!  Hope to see you there!
