HUMBOLDT SPEEDWAY

STARTED 1ST

FINISHED 2ND

John stayed close to home to compete at Humboldt Speedway for the $1,000 to win Dwaine Whitworth Memorial.  In the heat race John was scheduled to start inside the second row.  Pole sitter, Jess Folk Jr was unable to start the race and that put John on the pole.  John led every lap and won it.  That finish put him on the pole for the feature event.  When the green flag flew John jumped into the lead and didn't look back.  On lap 10 (halfway) it  looked as though John would lead every lap.  However, on the next lap the yellow flag flew.  On the restart the third place car, 6 of Whitey Folk, passed the 3d of Dan Daniels for second.  He took the high side of the track and passed John with 5 laps to go.  Folk went on the win the race, John finished 2nd and Dan was 3rd.

John will be racing at Heartland Park Topeka on Monday.  Hope to see you there!
