52 modifieds were on hand Friday night at the Hummer. John started 4th in the third heat race and finished second. That put him 10th in passing points. The top 12 went straight to the A feature. John started 10th and fell back in a hurry. He was having trouble on the slick track getting the car to turn. He finished 21st. He'll work on it today and be back out there Saturday night!
42 USRA modifieds competed also Friday night. Dylan started 9th (dead last) in the first heat race. He was almost to the flag stand to complete lap one when Riley Whitworth lost his steering and spun in front of Dylan. Dylan hit him,but was able to continue. He finished 6th. That finish put him starting sixth in the first B feature. The top six would transfer to the A. Dylan messed up on the start and fell back, he then got it together and raced back up to seventh. While running 7th he spun on his own and Riley was right behind him and the two made contact again. Dylan was able to restart in the back with only a few laps to go. He restarted 12th and finished 9th. He was done for the night.
