The night started out with Dawn drawing the biggest number in the pot!  John had to start the last heat race last which was 6th in the 4th heat.  25 modifieds entered the race.  The wasn't set up quite right for the heat and John ran 4th. That put him on the pole of the B feature.  The car was better in the B and he took the win.  In the A feature he started 13th.  It was hard to pass and sometimes he had cars 3 wide in front of him.  But the car was good and with 5 to go John was passing for 10th.  He made contact with another car and spun.  He had to restart in the rear of the field (17th) and ended up back where he started 13th.

Humboldt Speedway – Humboldt Speedway hosted a special Sunday night event, The Whitworth Memorial. Extra cash laid out for all of the divisions racing on this night. One of the hottest drivers in the Modified ranks, Darron Fuqua, made an appearance at the Hummer. Fuqua, who had won features at other tracks on Friday and Saturday, was looking for the ‘hat trick’ with a win on Sunday. It wouldn’t be easy as Fuqua had to hold off several tough drivers to get win #3, but in the end he would drive to victory. Brad Smith took home the win in the B Mods, it was another Factory Stock win for Tyler James and Mitchell Coulter was the winner in the Pure Stock main event.
