SECOND PLACE AFTER TECH

STARTED 1ST

FINISHED 5TH (2nd after all the dqs)

18 modifieds were on hand Friday night at Humboldt Speedway.  John started 3rd in the 3rd heat race.  He passed them all and won the heat.  That put him with the most points for the night and he was able to start on the pole for the A feature.

As soon as the race began John knew he made the wrong changes on the car.  He fell back to third early and as the race wore on he slipped back to 5th.  The car was just too free.  Johnny Bone Jr. took the win, Jess Folk Jr was 2nd,  Sigg, and Zimmerman rounded out the top 4.  After post race inspection Sigg was disqualified and John was scored as 4th.

John will be back in action Saturday night at Springfield Raceway and Monett Speedway on Sunday.  Hope to see you there!

 HUMBOLDT SPEEDWAY PRESS RELEASE

Final results from July 27th races.

Humboldt Speedway officials asked MLRA Tech officials to use their tire sniffer on our USRA B-Mod and USRA Modifieds the night of July 27th since they had a sniffer with them.  As a result all B-Mods passed. 1 Modified declined tech and was automatically Disqualifed  for the night loosing his points and money. 2 Others drivers tested high readings with the sniffer, resulting in tire samples sent to lab.

Both drivers tire samples sent in came back not conforming to American Racer KK704 benchmark tire sample. Both drivers were then Disqualified loosing points and money for that night only at the Humboldt Speedway.

Sample information was sent to USRA for their decision on any other penalties & fines..

The following Week on Aug 3rd track officials took a new tire from the track parts trailer and samples were taken before racing and after racing and sent to same lab and came back as to conforming to the benchmark tire American Racer KK704. This declared Randy Zimmerman the winner for July 27th and moving all other drivers up..

Hope this clarifies all rumors

Stovall Dominates At Hummer

July 28, 2012

(Humboldt, KS) 7/27/12 – Jesse Stovall paced the field for the entire thirty lap feature Friday night in Lucas Oil MLRA competition at Humboldt Speedway. He jumped to the lead from the outside pole at the drop of the green flag. “The car was really really good,” said Stovall following the race. “We went last weekend and did a lot of testing. I think we found something. Hopefully we can continue this on to tomorrow night.” The win is Stovall’s second with the Lucas Oil MLRA.

Series point leader John Anderson took the lead from Brad Looney in lapped traffic just past the mid point in the feature. It was another solid finish for the Shop Quik driver. He now has three runner up finishes to go along with four wins.

Brad Looney, who set idle for most of the summer, won his heat early in the night and finished a strong third. Will Vaught and Justin Wells filled out the top five finishing positions.

Early in preliminary action Wells, Stovall and Looney scored heat race wins. The three drivers also occupied the first three feature starting positions. Vaught ran the fastest lap in the feature, at 15.666, on the races final circuit. The caution free feature took just over eight minutes to complete.

Saturday night action moves on to Springfield Raceway in Springfield, MO for the Casey’s General Store Summer Meltdown. The $3,000 to win race will be co-sanctioned with the MARS Series. The gates will open at 5:00 PM, with racing scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
