USMTS AT GRAIN VALLEY, MO

STARTED 27TH PROVISIONAL

38 USMTS modifieds were divided into 5 heat races on Saturday night. John started 7th or last in the 4th heat race. The cars wasn't too good and there wasn't much passing. John finished 5th. That put him starting 5th in the second B feature. Only the top 6 would transfer to the A. He got up to 4th at one point, then slipped back to 5th and with only a lap and half to go John spun on his own in turn one. He restarted in the back, but was unable to make it back up to finish 6th.

He decided to take a provisional and see if he could get the car a little better. He started 27th in the 50 lap feature and was up to about 20th when he pulled off. The car was a little better, but he was in the way and didn't want to mess up the leaders of the race.

John is going to travel to Enid, OK for the USRA vs. NCRA race on Sunday. Hope to see you there!
