25 modifieds checked in at Humboldt Speedway on Friday night. John started dead last or 7th in the third and final heat race. He was unable to move to the front and finished 6th.

That finish put him on the pole of the B feature. He took off and led all 10 laps, when it was over he was half a lap ahead of the field.

John then started outside of row 8 for the A feature. The first and only yellow flag fell on lap 13 and John was up to 9th! In the final 7 laps John was able to make it up to finish 6th. Johnny Bone Jr. took the win, Terry Beckham was 2nd, Dustin Boney 3rd, Scott Daniels 4th and Justin Folk rounded out the top five.

John will be at Mid America Speedway on Saturday for the final show of the SMP series. Hope to see you there!
