John got to the track a little late Saturday night after trying to clean and fix the car from Friday night's race at Lakeside. He started last in the last heat race. The top 5 transferred to the A feature. There were 32 modifieds and 4 heat races of 8 cars each. John raced from 8th to finish 3rd in his heat race. In the feature he started 8th row inside. He started passing cars as soon as the green flag dropped. The track was black and slick and if you got too high the cars would freight train by you on the bottom. On long runs the cars seemed to be all running at the same speed with no one passing at all. But there were plenty of yellow flags to bunch up the cars on restarts and maybe get a few more places. On lap 9 John was up to 9th. With 7 to go John was in 8th and then a couple of cars in front pulled in and John was able to finish 6th.
