ALLEN COLLECTS 200TH CAREER VICTORY AT BELLEVILLE

STARTED: 1ST

FINISHED: 1ST

John once again traveled to Belleville, KS to compete with the NCRA modifieds at what is known as his very favorite track:  The Belleville Highbanks!  He started the 2nd heat race dead last, outside row four.  He didn't stay there long as he quickly found himself in 2nd spot with only 2 laps down.  The leader started on the pole and was a distance away from the field.   On lap 7 out of 8 John went to make the pass for the lead and the two got together.  The car turned to the left at the flagstand and John somehow managed to get it straight, keep it going and never lose a position!  John finished 2nd in the heat race and accumulated the most passing points and was awarded the pole.
In the A feature John was dominate once again and lapped up to 10th position.  This victory is his 12th of 2009 and his 200th of his 25 year racing career!
John will be back racing with the USRA modifieds this weekend at Humboldt Speedway and Caney Valley Speedway, hope to see you there!

Allen Dominates the Belleville in NCRA Modified Action

By David Smith, Jr.

Belleville, Kansas (September 6, 2009) - Former three time series champion Johnny Allen of Chanute picked up his 200th career victory in dominating fashion Sunday night in a venue that he knows well as he won the O'Reilly/NCRA modified Hard Rock Hotel - Casino fifteen lap feature at the Belleville Highbanks before a near capacity crowd.

By virture of the most passing points coming out of the three heat races earlier in the evening, Allen set the pace with his inside, front row starting position and quickly took the lead as the green flag waved. Outside front row started Brandon Blocker settled into the runner up position and would battle most of the latter stages of the race for position with Darrick Klima. Klima would take over the second position late but was no match for Allen, who also won at the High Banks back over the Fourth of July weekend.

Blochlinger would hold on to the third position at the checkered while John Thompson worked his way up from his thirteenth starting position to finish fourth. With the front runners in the O'Reilly/NCRA modified division point standings having a rough night, Brian Powers, who came into the evening fourth in the point standings, gained some ground with a solid fifth place finish. The feature went caution free.

The heat races for the twenty-five car field were won by Powers, Brad Johnston and Klima.

The points battle for the division championship will come down to the final points races of the season as they will conclude the 2009 race season on Friday and Saturday night, October 9-10, at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas.
