HANDLING PROBLEMS HAUNT ALLEN FRIDAY NIGHT

STARTED: 17TH

FINISHED: 14TH

John started dead last (10th) in the second heat race of the evening at Lakeside Speedway.  The first 4 laps were not good for John as he failed to pass anyone by that point of the race.  Then, on lap 5 he found his way around the 9th place car and seemed to gather some steam.  He made it up to finish 4th right behind the 2nd and 3rd place cars.  You could've thrown a blanket over 2nd-4th place finishers, it was that close.  The top 5 finishers transfered to the A feature.
The crew quickly went to work on the car thinking a shock/spring combination change would fix the handling problem.  In the A feature John started 9th row inside.  As the race got underway everyone on the team could tell that the problem was not fixed.  John managed to pass a few cars, and made it up to finish 14th, but the mystery of the handling problem has not been solved.  The high point of the night was the awesome finishes of our good friends Chad Lyle and Kerry Davis.  They finished 1st and 2nd respectively.
Hopefully the mystery will be solved and we will be on our way to the Belleville Highbanks Sunday morning.  We are not racing Saturday night.  Hope to see you at Belleville!
