John won his heat race from the second row. They then took the top 10 in passing points and redrew, John redrew 10th. The feature ran all 16 laps without a caution. John did all he could and got up to 3rd. Polesitter, Jesse Folk Jr. took the win and outside front row starter Justin Folk claimed second.

Large Car Count Produces Many Winners At Humboldt Speedway

Sometimes you are the 'only' game in town. That was the case Saturday night at Humboldt Speedway and I am sure that they didn't mind. All of the other area race tracks were suppose to start on Saturday night, but were rained out. Humboldt was suppose to race on Friday night. Ron Whitworth, owner of Humboldt Speedway, decided to postpone the show by one day and what a great idea that turned out to be. In the modified feature it was Jess Folk Jr. picking up the win. Coming off a championship season in '08, Folk is looking good in '09. Junior started on the pole with his younger brother, Whitey Folk, on the outside. Whitey would jump to the early lead, but with patience and persistance Junior found the low line to his liking. He eventually would take over the lead and hold on for the victory. Whitey would come home 2nd, John Allen, the winner from 1 week ago, finished 3rd, 4th went to Brown McGowen and rounding out the top 5 was Jesse Willard.
