Kenton started dead last (8th) in the second heat race. In the first corner of the first lap, cars were crashing right in front of Kenton. He had no where to go and ended up with his front bumper on top of another car and he could not move. When they got the cars separated Kenton had a right front shock mount broke. He finished the race 5th, bouncing all the way. He barely made it to the A feature, the top 16 in passing points were locked into the A. He started the A main 14th and after only one lap down they were crashing right in front of Kenton again! This time he had a flat tire and had to be towed into the pits. John, Doug and Cade worked quickly to change the tire and get him back out. The leader was almost to turn four to take the green flag as Kenton was joining the rear of the field out of turn two! He managed to catch the tail and pass a car before the next yellow flag flew, only 5 laps down. He was able to drive his car up to about 11th when he got a little too high in turns 1 and 2 with only 2 laps to go and ended up finishing 14th, exactly where he started.
Kenton plans to put everything back together this week and race Humboldt Speedway on Friday, 81 Speedway on Saturday and back to Humboldt Speedway on Sunday! Hope to see you somewhere!
