TOP 5 AGAIN AT LAKESIDE SPEEDWAY

In the heat race John started last in the fourth and final heat.  He drove through the field to finish 2nd.  The top 5 would transfer to the A feature.

In the feature John started 4th row outside.  Even on the first lap everyone could tell he had missed the set up on the car and he had his hands full!  On lap 10 he got too high coming out of turn 2 and Kerry Davis slipped by him.  The 4p of Pippert and the 34 of Schafman were fighting for first, Kerry and John were inching their way closer to the front with every lap.  As the laps wore on the 1K of Tim Karrick came into the picture.  Now these 5 cars were all over each other for the lead.  It was an exciting race to say the least.  On lap 20 the yellow flag flew for the third and final time.  Kerry jump to the lead and drove away!  Pippert and Schafman were just out of reach for Tim and John.  Then Scott Crystal started putting the pressure on John for 5th.  When the white flag flew John gave Tim all he had and passed him coming out of turn four.  It was a race to the finish and Tim would edge out John by only inches.  John would settle for another top 5.
