1,000 TO WIN B-MOD VS SOONER SPORT MOD CHALLENGE
John started 3rd in the first heat race and finished 2nd. That put him starting 3rd row outside after passing points. He jumped to 4th in the first lap. He raced with the 37 of Tim VanGotten for quite awhile until Tim hit a lapped car and caused the yellow flag to fly. On the restart he restarted outside of Andy Bryant, the two doubled up behind the leader and pole sitter, Kris Jackson. John got a good run on the start, but Andy crowded him and he had to get off the gas. He spent the remainde of the race (5 laps) trying to run down the top 2 drivers.
