John started front row outside in the final heat race.  He finished 2nd to Tad Davis #75.  In the feature he started 6th.  In the first corner of the first lap the two cars on the front row got together and almost collected John, but he narrowly escaped damage.  On the restart John was 4th.  He quickly was running down the leader of Tanner Mullins.  Another yellow helped him out as Tanner had distanced himself from the field.  Tanner was running low and John started running high and he was gaining ground.  With about 6 laps to go John got a run coming out of turn 4 and got up beside Tanner.  Somehow John's left front spindle hit Tanner's car and broke.  John continued with sparks flying until another yellow flag came out and he pulled in.
