John started 10th in the 2nd heat race and was able to drive up to finish 5th.  That put him 9th in passing points and a place in the A feature.  By the time the A mods took the track it was pretty rough.  The car seemed to run the bottom better, but it was really rough down there.  With about 8 laps to go John found a path around the middle ot the track that the car liked and was pretty smooth.  The top 4 had a good lead on him and he was able to run them down, but there weren't enough lap left and John had to settle for 5th.  Terry Phillips took the win, Mitch Keeter 2nd, Terry Shultz 3rd, Jim Moody was 4th.
