27 MODS.  John started front row outside in the first heat and finished 2nd.  In the feature he started inside row four.  On lap 6 he was running 6th, but shortly after that he got trapped behind a lapped car and two other drivers got by him.  He ran 8th for some laps and then found his groove towards the top of the track.  He caught up with the pack and in the last corner was able to pass those same two cars again to regain 6th.
