Posted on: June 23rd, 2015 by rb_admin

By David Smith, Jr. (Hutchinson, KS) — After a year hiatus, Ryan McAninch made a triumphant return to National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified victory lane has he captured the night’s feature finale at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas to wrap up action on Father’s Day at the famed half mile oval.

Nebraska veteran Jon Thompson started on the pole for the fifteen lap feature and took the lead over outside front row started McAninch as the green flag fell.NCRALogo11

Seven caution flags plagued the feature with spins and crashes yet McAninch stayed glued to Thompson and would take the lead on lap eleven and never look back. Thompson would settle for second while fellow “Cornhusker” Andy Wilkinson claimed third. Chassis builder Bob Bills came home fourth while Bill Siemers rounded out the top five.

The three, eight lap heat races for the 23 car field were won by John Allen, Adam Schrag and Wilkinson.

The NCRA modified division will be back in race action this coming Sunday night, June 28, at 81 Speedway in Park City for their third event on the 2015 race season.
