ALLEN AND ALLEN CLEAN UP AND CLOSE OUT HUMBOLDT SPEEDWAY

STARTED 1ST

FINISHED FIRST!!

It was a rare and happy occasion at the final race of the season at Humboldt Speedway!  John and Dylan both found the winner's circle and we had much to celebrate!  This is Dylan's 2nd career win and John scored his 244th.

18 USRA modifieds turned up despite the rain chances all around on Friday night.  John started 3rd in the second heat race and took the win!  In the A John started on the pole and led every lap.  Three late yellows made it interesting as Terry Shultz and Darron Fuqua were fighting for second.  Shultz ended up hitting the wall with only 2 laps to go.  John, Fuqua, Chambers were the top 3.

B-MODS

14 B-mods took the track as well.  Dylan started on the front row outside of his heat race and won by half a straight.  In the feature Dylan started on the pole and led every lap!

HUMBOLDt, Kan., -- The Humboldt Speedway 2014 season is now forever in the record books.

Congratulations to this year’s season points champions: Jeremy Chambers in USRA Modifieds, Tyler James in USRA Stock Cars and Jimmie Davis in USRA B-Mods.

As the final curtain began to close a single point separated Jeremy Wilson and James for the USRA Stock Car season points championship.

Since one or the other has been a consistent feature winner all season long, it looked like the stage was set for a classic shoot-out.

But hold the phone! David Matlock, many times the runner-up this year, reached deep into his bag of horsepower and drove his personal best race of the season to take his first 2014 win at Humboldt.

James made it no easy task, trying hard to pass Matlock before settling in for the runner-up spot and the season championship by 10 points.

Third went to Patrick Kay, Eddie Ingram was fourth and Wilson finished fifth.

John Allen, who as of late has been touring with the USMTS, turned in a flawless performance in winning the USRA Modified feature.

Darren Fuqua was second and Chambers secured the third spot with Steven Bowers Jr. fourth and Tad Davis fifth.

Allen had several reasons to be proud this night as his son, Dylan Allen, joined him in victory lane by winning his second USRA B-Mod feature of the year.

Lucas Issacs was the runner-up with Riley Whitworth third, Ethan Issacs fourth and Dustin Beisley fifth.

Many thanks to all the Humboldt Speedway fans for making this a great season. We hope to see all of you and more in 2015.
