19 modifieds traveled to Bethany, MO to compete for the $2,000 to win plus $30 for every lap led race.  John started 3rd in the 2nd heat race.  He took the WIN!  They then had a redraw and he redrew 1!  John started on the pole and quickly settled into second place.  Then he took the lead, but another car got into him and knocked the fender into the left rear tire.  John lead 17 laps and with only 5 to go the tire went flat.  He was not able to finish.  Kerry Davis took the win.
