35 modifieds were on hand Saturday night in company with the Lucas Oil Late Models racing at the Diamond Nationals.  John started front row outside of the first heat race.  He took the win!  That put him third in passing points so he started the feature on the second row inside.  On the start he was able to pass and get up to second place.  He was running the bottom and was running down the leader #98 Jeff Cutshaw when the yellow came out about lap 10.  After the yellow he didn't seem to be as good, he was still running the bottom, but Matt Dotson #88D was making a charge on the top from his 6th place starting spot.  As the final laps came around Matt grabbed 2nd from John and John had to settle for third.

It will be a busy week for John as we will get right back to racing on Tuesday at Lakeside Speedway in KC, KS and Wednesday at Caney Valley Speedway.  Hope to see you there!
