FIRST WIN OF 2014!!

FIRST WIN OF 2014!!

STARTED 2ND

FINISHED FIRST!!

16 modifieds towed to Humboldt Speedway on Friday night.  John started 4th in the first heat race and took the win!  After passing points were figured John was second behind Travis Smith who raced from the back of the heat and finished 2nd behind John.  Travis started on the pole and John on his outside.  John took the lead on the start and led every lap!  Sounds easy, but it wasn't!  There were several yellows and John had to battle Travis on each one.  Travis took home second, Jeremy Chambers 3rd, Steven Bowers and Chase Domer rounded out the top five!

DYLAN B-MOD

STARTED 1ST

FINISHED 3RD

13 bmods put on a great night of racing on Friday as well.  Dylan started inside row two of the first heat race.  On the start the front row got together and pushed up.  Dylan drove underneath them and took the lead!  He held on for his first heat race win of the season!  That finish put him on the pole of the feature.  On the start he fell into second and then 3rd as Tim Vangotten #37 and Jimmie Davis #01 battled for the lead.  Dylan had the best seat in the house as he followed the two lap after lap.  Vangotten ended up with the win, Davis and Allen third.  This is Dylan's best career finish!

On Saturday Dylan is traveling to Wheatland, MO for the $500 to win race at Lucas Oil Speedway and John is ready for some USMTS action in Winston, MO!  Hope to see you somewhere!!

Humboldt, KS – John Allen had a strong run in the USRA Modified division at Humboldt Speedway last season. Allen finished in the top 5 in the national standings by year’s end. The one thing that put Allen in that position, wins. The beginning to the 2014 season hasn’t gone as planned but Allen figured out a way to get into victory lane this week as the familiar number 98 landed there tonight. Allen had to hold off some tough competition to get the win. Tonight was the 1st night Travis Smith was kept out of victory lane. Tim VanGotten took home another win in the B Mod division, in the Pure Stock division Derrek Wilson took in his 2nd win, Jeremy Wilson remains the man to beat in the Stock Car division with another win and the special class, the Wingless Auto Racing Sprints feature went to Chris Parkinson.
