18 modifieds were ready to go Saturday for Humboldt Speedway's first regular race of the season.  John started on the pole of the third and final heat race.  He took the win!  In the feature John started outside row two.  What ensued was a side by side thrilling race for the crowd.  Travis Smith, piloting his new GRT by Allen, Jeremy Chambers and Jon Sheets put on a show.  John took the lead, but a late yellow turned the victory over to a second place finish.  Travis took the win, John runner up, Jeremy and Jon Sheets rounded out the top four.

In B-mod action Dylan was unable to shake his rough start to the season.  He hit a drive shaft laying on the track in hot laps.  In his heat race he started 2nd and finished 2nd, but a car spun and he couldn't avoid it and tore up his car a little more.  In the feature he started 8th and fell back.  He didn't make contact or spin, but the car was just not handling well.

Both cars will be back in action starting Thursday night at Humboldt Speedway for the King of America!  Hope to see you there!
