35 modifieds raced for the $2,000 top prize Wednesday night at Humboldt Speedway.  John started 4th in the first heat race.  He was run into on the start and the right rear tire was knocked down along with some other damage.  He managed to hold on to finish 3rd.  That finish put him on the pole of the second B feature, he was 14th in overall passing points.  The top 12 went straight to the A feature.  He lead every lap and won the B.  In the A he started 14th and there was a yellow on lap 3 and he was up to 11th.  As the race restarted John kept passing cars and heading to the front.  He was able to make it up to finish 4th.  A great run for John and the team.  Jeremy Payne took the win after starting on the pole. 

After tech the 3rd place car was DQed and John was awarded 3rd!!

John will be back in action on Friday, he is heading to Belleville, KS to race with the NCRA cars.  On Saturday he plans to run the specail at Nevada, MO.

Humboldt, KS. – It was a perfect night for racing at Humboldt Speedway on Wednesday night. Cooler temps provided by Mother Nature led to hot racing action on the speedway. Jeremy Payne was the big winner on the night. Payne raced his way to the win in the Modified feature. In doing so, Payne collected $2,000 for his winning efforts. Jerry Hoffman made an appearance at the Hummer driving a B Mod and by the end of the night he was victorious in the main event. In the Pure Stock feature, Derrek Wilson collected another win at Humboldt for the 2013 season and winning the Factory Stock main event was Jeremy Wilson.
