14 modifieds were at Nevada Speedway on Saturday night for the $1,000 to win Bushwacker special.  John started front row outside of Brian Bolin in the 2nd heat race.  The two started out racing side by side, but Brian took the lead after a couple of laps and also took the win.  John had to settle for 2nd and a 5th place starting spot in the A.  The crew went to work and it all paid off.  The race took awhile to get going and early on John was shuffled back as far as 7th.  But as the green laps came together the fastest car soon took the lead.  At halfway John had passed Brian to take the lead and pull away from the field.  Several more yellows plagued the closing laps of the A main, but John kept the lead and was able to take the win!  This is John's 4th win of the season.  John will be racing at Humboldt Speedway, Lucas Oil Speedway and 81 Speedway this coming weekend, hope to see you somewhere!
