by Scott Lee Stewart The halfway point of an action packed 2012 season has arrived at Humboldt Speedway, and Mid Season Points Champions have been crowned.

Congratulations to Pure Stock driver Tyler Kidwell, B-Mod driver Jimmie Davis, Factory Stock driver Scott Stuart, and USRA Modified driver John Allen for winning the Mid Season points in their respective divisions.

Now begins the second half of the season. And, like the weather, the action continues to heat up:

Take for example Johnny Bone, Jr.’s latest feature win. Bone has had his share of rough luck this year, but you would never know it by Friday’s flawless performance in USRA Modifieds. Luke Driskell finished second, with Scott Daniels third. Chase Sigg and Jess Folk, Jr. rounded out the top five.

Tyler Kidwell needed to win Friday night to secure his Mid Season crown, and he
did, dueling with runner up Levi Phillips. Third was Derek Michael. Jeremy Willard
was fourth, Mike Aielo finished fifth.

Scott Stuart added one more trophy to his collection with a win in Factory Stock.
Scott;s dad, Steve, was runner up, while David Matlock was third. Patrick Kay was
fourth, Daryl Drake fifth.

It was a big come from behind win for Tim VanGotten in USRA B-Mods, as he tracked
down eventual runner up Shwan Strong. Jimmie Davis, Curt Drake, and Jeremy Chambers
completed the top five.

Next week, the 22nd annual Modified Blow out will run on July 3rd, a Tuesday.
$2000.00 to win in Mods, added money in all classes, and fireworks after the show!
We will not race on Friday the 6th.
