DNF FOR USMTS AT HUMBOLDT SPEEDWAY

There were 40 USMTS modifieds and 5 heat races Friday night at Humboldt.  John started on the front row outside of the final heat race, led every lap and won it in dominating fashion.  That put him 3rd in passing points for the night.  The top 8 in points redraw and Kenton redrew 4. 

In the A John looked strong, quickly jumping to 3rd and then on lap 10 he finally thought he had a clear run to pass 2nd place runner the 9d of Scott Daniels.  Terry Phillips had the lead from the pole and had gotten away from the pack.  But as John passed Scott the two got together and John's car was never the same.  The yellow came out shortly after John got to 2nd and on the restart he. lost several spots.  The race continued like that and John was falling back until about halfway and John spun in turn 3.  He pulled in after that.

John will be back racing with the USMTS on Saturday at Grain Valley, MO.  Hope to see you there!
