THIRD AT HUMBOLDT

STARTED 3RD

FINISHED 3RD

21 modifieds gathered at Humboldt Speedway on Friday night despite all the wind and thunderstorm warnings in the the area.  There were 3 heat races and John started on the front row outside of the 3rd and final heat race.  He took the win and that put him 3rd in passing points for the night.
In the feature he started inside the 2nd row.  On the start he fell back to fourth and ran there for most of the race.  Randy Zimmerman in the #99 and John were side by side several times, but John could never get around him.  Towards in the end of the race the #6 of Justin Folk hit the wall and John was able  pass him and take 3rd.  There was not much other passing going on as the track was just one lane pretty much all the way around.
John will be racing in South Coffeyville, OK on Saturday.  Hope to see you there!

Hunt wins second USRA B-Mod feature at Humboldt; Sigg officially out of retirement
by Scott Lee Stewart
HUMBOLDT, Kan. -- At an age when most young men are longing for that one last better bicycle or maybe a power scooter, Trever Hunt has proven himself as a man among men.

The 13-year-old first won the last USRA B-Mod feature during Humboldt Speedway’s prestigious King of America II Modified Nationals back in March.

Now, a month later, he returns to 'The Hummer' and racks up a second feature win, wire to wire this time against some of the toughest competition to be faced anywhere.

While Hunt was cruising to victory, a tremendous battle was being waged for the runner-up spot. That scrap was won by Jimmie Davis, who raced tenaciously to put Jeremy Chambers in third. Jack Simmons and Riley Whitworth rounded out the top five.

Out of retirement, Rodney Sigg returned to the USRA Modified winners circle Friday night, starting front row outside and bidding adios to the rest of the field.

Behind Sigg it was a rough and tumble battle for runner-up claimed by Randy Zimmerman giving Mach 1 Chassis a 1-2 finish.

John Allen ran hard, as you would expect, but couldn’t find enough real estate to make it past third.

Tanner Mullens survived a scary crash to finish fourth while Brian Bolin was fifth.
