26 modifieds checked in at Mid America Speedway for the final SMP race. John was in the last group and was third fastest in the group. In the heat race John started second and finished second. This put him starting 8th in the A feature. On the start, the left front tire got knocked down but John was still able to move up to 5th. As the race wore on and the yellow flag started flying John would lose some spots on the restarts. He ended up finishing 8th. Johnny Bone Jr. took the win, 118, 22, 17, 11, 64, 23, 98.
Team 98 will be heading to Spring Valley, MN for the World Modified Dirt Championship on Wednesday. Check back for updates during the week.
