After fixing the car Saturday morning we decided to head down to South Coffeyville so John could get some more "seat time" in the new Hughes car. 
In the heat race John started 4th and raced up to finish 2nd.  After passing points were calculated John started the A feature 3rd row inside (5th).  During the race the high side was starting to come in but most of the cars were still fighting for the bottom.  Many time during the race cars were three wide and you never knew who would come away with the lead from lap to lap.  Johnny Bone Jr. started 3rd and quickly started to work the top.  He finally took the lead about half way and John was right behind him.  That's how they finished. 
John is planning to be back at Humboldt Speedway next Friday night.  Hope to see you there!

From John:  "With the tough economic times many race tracks are raising their prices on admission and concessions and cutting the purse.  Ron Whitworth of Humboldt Speedway is the only promoter in this area that has raised the purse for 2011 and bettered his facility for the racers and fans.  I would like to encourage you to support his efforts."
