21 modifieds were at Humboldt Speedway Friday night. John started the 3rd and final heat race in 6th. He took the win even though a bolt came loose towards the end of the race on the lift arm spring and tore some stuff up under the car. The crew got the car back together and started the A feature on the pole. Paden Phillips, the 9d8, started on the outside. The first 5 laps were a battle with Paden sticking right with John. John really needed to be on the top in 3 and 4 and couldn't get there with Paden on his outside. Then John got the break he needed, a yellow flag and John picked the top. It was ALL over then as John drove away from the rest of the field and won by half a lap. Ryan Whitworth finished an impressive 2nd, racing from the back to the front. We are headed to Mid America Speedway in Coffeyville, Ok on Saturday. Hope to see you there!
Allen rolls at Humboldt Speedway

HUMBOLDT, Kan. --
John Allen rolled out a brand new car for the USRA RHS Modified event Friday night at the Humboldt Speedway, and went straight to the front for the feature win. In one of his strongest showings this season, Ryan Whitworth captured the runner-up spot while Justin "Whitey" Folk finished third, Paden Phillips fourth and Casey Jesseph fifth. Next Friday the USRA RHS Modifieds will be back in action along with the NCRA/MARS Late Models, B-Mods and Pure Stocks.
